Pathanamthitta is located in the southern part of Kerala. It is the headquarters of the district of Pathanamthitta town.  There are four municipalities in this district. Thiruvalla Adoor Pathanamthitta and Pandalam.  According to the 2013 census. The district is just one of the richest district in India.  The main source of income of the people here is agriculture.  About 75 per cent of the population depends on agriculture.  The most important crop is rubber production.  Almost half of their cultivation is concentrated in rubber.  Other major crops are Rice and Sugar pepper coco etc .  Another source of income is fisheries.  The ponds, rivers and canals have a lot to do with the fishing industry.  And small businesses and hotels with a focus here.

Education in district

Pathanamthitta is at the forefront of education and infrastructure facilities.  There are institutions and colleges in India that offer a wide range of disciplines including medical and nursing schools.  The district has 15 Arts and Science Colleges, 6 Engineering Colleges. Four Medical Colleges, 4 Nursing Colleges and 4 managing Colleges that teach courses starting with Management MBA.  There are about 5 Industrial Training Colleges and Teachers Education Colleges in the area.  That is to say that Pathanamthitta an agricultural development district has grown with the movement of education across the state.

Jobs in Pathanamthitta

This is a district with a lot of potential in jobs.  There has many job opportunities including Doctors Engineers Accountant Managers and Operators etc.  The main source of income is agriculture.  The general public has a huge scope of work on farms.  Many of these industries are focus on the productivity of agricultural resources.  The main industrial unit here is the packing unit and the rice mill tractor.  Since their main production is rubber, most industries are concentrate on rubber based products.  This is mainly due to the fact that she needs a balloon tire, such as sheet condoms and hospital blouse .
